You can read about Dasher HERE
We were lucky enough to get both Dasher and Skye
from Blastoff Border Collies. We added them to our family in March
of 2006. We already had one Border Collie and knew that we wanted
another. Tracy was great with the screening process and making
sure we received what we wanted.
These two pups are the best. We are so blessed to have found Blastoff
Border Collies. My sons showed both dogs for 4-H at the county
fair this year. Both pups did extremely well. Dasher received
grand champion in obedience. Skye received an award for most improved
over the season. Both pups received ribbons in showmanship. Both
are starting agility next season. We have been working at home
on the weave poles and just recently started jumps. Dasher shows
such phenomenal speed and drive. Skye has less drive than Dasher,
but he wants to please. Both dogs get along with Flake, our tri-colored
slick coat, which was important to us.
They both have great physical traits. Skye has beautiful markings.
His face is speckled so evenly. His fur is soft, curly and great
to cuddle with. He is in great shape and has excellent proportions.
Skye does a great crouch when he is herding our children or the
squirrels in the back yard. Dasher has a wonderful pirate patch
on his eye. His fur is longer and straighter than Skye's. His
tail is very full and beautiful with perfect feathers. We get
a lot of comments on his coat and tail. He has a long, lean shape.
Each has their own personality. Skye thinks he is the alpha of
our little pack. He definitely tries to keep everyone in their
place. He patrols the house before he goes to bed every night.
Skye sings on command. It is this great ar-woo-hoo sound. It always
puts a smile on our faces. Dasher is so affectionate. He thinks
he is a lap dog. He loves everyone he meets. He soaks up anyone
petting him. Dasher always has a stuffed animal with him. He likes
carrying them around and gnawing on them. He does not tear them
like most dogs do. If he does not have a stuffed animal in his
crate, he is restless. With a stuffed animal though, he is quiet
as a mouse. Both can show such expression on their faces and with
their ears. They cock their ears and perk them up when they are
talking to you. They are very attentive and eager pups.
They all three play hard together. They add such joy to our everyday
lives. It is amazing to me that three very different dogs can
get along so well. The training and socialization that Tracy started
with the pups made them great additions to our family. I know
when we are looking for a female to add into our mix, we will
be contacting Tracy first.
Thanks again,
The Parker Family
